#i’m sorry but i am never going to get over the cuteness is that when stiles lifts his head to ask that question #he doesn’t even scan through the room he looks directly at derek as if derek is the one that matters #or that he just knows that with everyone so frantic and and busy that derek will be the one to listen #or the fact that when stiles does ask the question that no one even lifts up their head #and derek doesn’t pause to see if someone will answer stiles first #the moment stiles speaks derek acknowledges him #and he doesn’t call him an idiot or get short with him because of their argument from earlier #his eyes are patient and his tone doesn’t shoot stiles down as this useless kid #which in this situation stiles /is/ #he’s dead weight right now because it’s almost every man for himself #if someone gets stranded they have to be strong enough to hold off the alpha twins long enough for help to come #and stiles wouldn’t last a minute #he shouldn’t even be there #but derek isn’t dismissing stiles as anything less than equal part of the team #and so derek tells stiles to put them down because honestly if stiles doesn’t know how to work them he’ll only hurt himself #and that matters #and i think stiles gets that #which is why he didn’t sass back #gosh these two so much development in this season #amongst all the chaos and empty plots and useless fight scenes #these two were strong and steady and made sense #were /right/ (via mydearsourwolf)
